Issac Gowlett [1774-1825] born in Uxbridge, Middlesex, England, convict, transported to Sydney Australia in 1795.
John Coyne Riley [1852-1911] born in Manchester, immigrated with his mother & sister to Sydney Australia in 1857. Married Amelia Ann Wright in Melbourne by whom he had issue.

Early Scard Fragments in Northern EnglandScard Early Fragment in Southern England
Begins with earliest Progenitor of this Branch i.e. Thomas Scard [c.1709-1770] died Testate. Expands a further 5 generations.Biographies begin at William Scard of Cerne Abbas [1753-1829] however two prior generations are also linked.  Expands a further 5 generations.
Begins with James Scard of Gosport [1735-1812] who died Testate, although a likely previous generation is linked. Expands a further 5 generations. Begins with Thomas Scard of Southampton, Hampshire.  A possible previous generation is linked.  Expands subsequent 5 generations. 
This lineage of James Scard of Henstridge [1800-1879] is the great granson of Thomas Scard [c.1709-1800] in the North Dorset Lineage.  However he has long been synonomous with the Township and kept as so for easy identification.  Biography expands a further 3 generations. Believed to be connected to the Warminster, Wiltshire Family.  Begins with Joseph Scard [c.1799-1852] and expands a further 4 generations. 
Begins with earlies Progenitor Thomas Scard [1725-1769] of Mere  & later Warminster. Expands a further 3 generations. Many later Scard Families of all Lineages later moved to London. A list is provided. 
The earliest known Scard Family in this region was of the Cerne Abbas Family although other members of several lineages also later occupied the area. Several Scard Families later settled in Australia. 
A very early Family did settle in Canada around 1825 or prior, however later generations in several lineages immigrated in the late 19th Century. One Scard Family appears to  have settled in Sth Africa from mid 1800's although several other later Families were also recorded in the Region.
