WILLIAM HOPPER was baptised 6th January 1774 at Bradford. Devon, England, the only son of
Henry Hopper [the younger] by his wife Mary [nee Norly],
William had two siblings, 'Ann' Hopper both of whom who died young.
1795: At the age of twenty-one William Hopper married Mary Penhale 7th July 1795 at Bradford.
Issue;
Ann Hopper baptised 4th December 1795 at Bradford.

Leonard HOPPER s/o William & Mary was bapt. Feb. 10, 1801 Bradford (IGI).

Mary HOPPER daughter of William & Mary was bapt. July 10, 1803 Tetcott (IGI).

1813: William Hopper was beneficiary in the Will of his paternal Uncle Leonard Hopper of Ashwater, Cornwall
in which he was bequeathed the sum of ten shillings.
His four children were also included in the Will i.e. Leonard Hopper, son of William Hopper the sum of
Three Pounds and Ann Hopper, Elizabeth Hopper and Mary Hopper, daughters of William Hopper the sum
of ten shillings.
1836 Mary Hopper [nee Penhale] died Oct. 30, 1836 at Tetcott.
1841 Census: Address: Fernhill Farm, Tetcott, Devonshire;
William Hopper, aged 65, of In dependant means.
( He was living with his son Leonard Hopper aged 40, and his family [see below in Epilogue].
1851 Census: Address: Fernhill Farm, Tetcott, Devonshire;
William Hopper aged 76, Widower, Carpenter, born Bradford.
He was living with his son Leonard Hopper aged 50, and his family [see below in Epilogue].
1852 Death: William Hopper died Testate at Tetcott December Qtr. 1852 [Registered Holdsworthy [Reg.District for Tetcott]]

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Hopper of Tetcott in the County of Devon, Yeoman.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann this dwelling house and garden with the appurtenances thereunto
belonging at Fir Lake in the Parish of Tetcott as now in her occupation.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth the dwelling house and garden with appurtenances thereunto
belonging at Fir Lake areas now in her occupation.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary the sum of two pounds and ten shillings to be paid to her by my Executor
hereinafter named yearly and every year during her natural life should my Estate and Interest so long continue
in my Estate at Fernhill in Tetcott.
All the rest, residue, remainder of my Estate and Effects of whatever sort or quality after payment of my just debts,
funeral and testamentary expenses I give devise and bequeath to my son Leonard by whom thereby constitute
and appoint Sole Executor of this my last will and testament, revoking all former and other Wills and [?]
by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament Witness wereof I have
hereunto set my hand this sixteenth day of August One Thousand and Fifty Two.

Posthumous;
1861 Census: Leonard's widow Grace was recorded a widow, living with her son John.
Widow: Grace survived Leonard by twenty-four years and died at Tetcott in the March Qtr. 1881
